Our Story
We’re Alfred and Grace Mukunya, and we’ve spent years watching brothers and sisters in the faith pour out their gifts with beauty, passion, and love. Their talents—cooking, decorating, caregiving, hosting—weren’t just skills. They were ministries.
Again and again, we saw something heartbreaking: the path to “turn it into a business” felt overwhelming. Setting up websites, learning platforms, figuring out payments—it wasn’t their calling. Their calling was simply to serve.
The Spark: Sister Mary
It was Sister Mary who finally opened our eyes to what needed to happen.
We saw her quietly yet beautifully host a repast with such care—decorating, arranging, blessing everyone present—and when I (Alfred) asked if she’d ever considered having a website, she simply smiled and said, “One day… maybe.”
But behind that “maybe” was the quiet reality: setting up a Shopify store or building a website wasn’t what she was built for. Her gifting was serving, loving, decorating, blessing.
And so it hit me:
What if all the hassle was removed? What if there was a platform that lifted the burden and simply let the gifts shine?
Building GraceWork Market
I realized I could build that platform:
- No storefront stress
- No marketing overwhelm
- A place where GraceWorkers could be seen and celebrated
- No setup costs. No ongoing fees.
- Only when a GraceWorker is blessed through their work does GraceWork Market receive a small fee — and if nothing is earned, nothing is owed.
My wife Grace had long encouraged Sister Mary, reminding her, “This is your tentmaking. Just like the Apostle Paul.”
GraceWork Market was born out of that encouragement—and the conviction that everyday service is sacred.
Why GraceWork Matters
This isn’t about hustling. It’s not about flashy branding.
It’s about answering a call:
- To serve with excellence
- To work with humility
- To bless others through everyday gifts
We believe that GraceWorkers are ministers of hospitality, care, and creation—working not for man’s approval, but unto the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Invitation
We’re building GraceWork Market one servant at a time. If this stirs something inside you, we invite you to step forward.
Bring your gifts. Bring your hands. Bring your heart.
GraceWorkers… let’s go.
All of this is done, humbly and joyfully, in the Name of Jesus— the One from whom every gift flows, the One by whom every act of love endures, the One for whom we work, and in whom we live.
Grace and peace in His Name,
Alfred & Grace Mukunya
“I am the vine; you are the branches.
If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit;
apart from me you can do nothing.”
